Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan saluted President-elect Barack Obama this week as a “God-given” leader with an extraordinary vision, but warned of the possible racial tension stirred up by his win, reports Yahoo! News.
“Many of the voters that voted for Senator McCain were older Americans, and most reside below the Mason-Dixon line where racial attitudes and traditions die hard,” explained Farrakhan. “We can change laws, but it’s difficult to change attitudes.”
