Today’s topic: Our “One-Butt” Kitchen Dear Kim, My kitchen is tiny, we call it a “one-butt” kitchen because only one butt can fit in it at any given time. This is my home and I wouldn’t trade it in for the world but with all the pots and pans and spice racks and knife racks and toasters, it seems real cluttered. What do i do to keep the illusion of space? KIM MYLES: I just laughed out loud imagining the “one butt” scenario–thanks for that! In a small space, verticality is key, so you’ll want to unify all of your loose bits by dedicating one wall to the cause. A peg board wall unit has vintage flair, can be painted any fun color, and will allow you to hang everything–pots, pans, knives, spice rack, etc–in one place. They’re easy to make (the web makes it easy to find multiple versions of the project), and the look is purposefully eclectic versus cluttered. Read more:
