Donald Driver, a Green Bay Packers wider receiver, is relieved after learning that his father, Marvin Driver, is doing well. The veteran football player’s father was hospitalized on Friday in Houston, Texas, after three police officers allegedly beat him, according to MSNBC.com. Police pulled Driver’s father over and arrested him for outstanding traffic warrants. The Driver family claims he was beaten and drugged by officers before they took him to jail, where they found him unresponsive. The three agents are now suspended until further investigation.
Martin Driver told NBC 26, “I don’t like talking about it because it reminds me of a bad, bad, bad nightmare. I can never forget it, but I just want to let it go.”
