President Donald Trump has some thoughts about the 2017 Academy Awards that took place on Sunday, calling the controversial ending “sad.”

In an interview with Breitbart News on Monday, he blamed the show’s Best Picture flub on the fact that Hollywood “focused so hard on politics that they didn't get the act together at the end.”

Presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly read La La Land as the winner, before having to later announce that Moonlight actually came out on top.

Presenters and winners alike took jabs at the president, including host Jimmy Kimmel who tweeted Trump during the show.

"It took away from the glamour of the Oscars," Trump said of the political edge in the show. "It didn't feel like a very glamorous evening. I've been to the Oscars. There was something very special missing, and then to end that way was sad.“
