The president was behind bars yesterday. Sort of. President Obama became the first sitting president to ever visit a federal U.S. prison when he visited the El Reno Federal Correctional Institute in Oklahoma. After his visit, he spoke on criminal justice reform and said that that prisoners he met didn’t have “the kind of support structures, the second chains, the resources that would allow them to survive those mistakes.” [NBC News]

Actor Omar Epps has signed on to be the executive producer of Daddy Don’t Go, a documentary that shatters the stereotype that fathers are present in their children’s lives and follows four dads around New York City as they try to navigate fatherhood.
