Megan, 24, and David, 26, were both students at HBCU North Carolina A&T when they met and became the best of friends. True love soon followed, and next summer they plan to begin a new life together as husband and wife. Can you feel the love?
“I think David chose to marry me because we balance each other out on every level; physically, mentally and emotionally,” says Megan.
“We have a lot of fun when we are together,” says David. “We have a genuine friendship and are constantly making each other laugh.”
“I like to go to the movies and anything that allows us to be silly and joke around with each other like bowling, amusement parks, or Dave & Busters,” says David.
“The man I’m about to marry is caring, funny and determined,” says Megan, who had a hunch she’d found her husband when their friendship began to bloom during their college years.
“We both get along well with each other’s parents,” says Megan. “Even in the beginning, I have always had a great relationship with his parents and vice versa.”
“We both had just ended long-term relationships when we met, so we kept it real casual for the first couple of months,” says David. Just look where taking things slow got them.
David and Megan are headed to the altar on June 21, 2013 in Baltimore, and they absolutely cannot wait to call each other husband and wife.
“I am most looking forward to what we already have,” says Megan. “We have started our own life here in Richmond, Virginia and we’ve even started a family with our two dogs, Layla and Lupe. They have been a part of this relationship since it started. So I really look forward to continue to build our life and family together.”
“We have not yet decided on a honeymoon location yet, but we would love to go to Paris,” says Megan.
“Our wedding will be traditional and elegant,” says Megan. “Our colors are daffodil and smoke.”
“I am really just looking forward to building a life and family together,” admits the groom-to-be. “We both want kids, and I am really excited about being a dad in the future, and I know she will be a great mom when that day comes.”
