On Sunday, April 19, 25-year-old Freddie Gray died of a severed spine, afflicted upon him while in police custody. Immediately following his death, peaceful protestors took to the streets of Baltimore demanding justice. However, hours after he was laid to rest on Monday, protests turned to riots as demonstrators took to the streets, burning and looting. What happened next has left the city in a state of emergency, with all sides calling for change.
