Jeanne had ten bridesmaids and ten hostesses for her special day. Here, they help her put the final touches on her look. Pink and green was a natural color combination for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., member.
Jeanne’s twin brother, Michael, escorts their mother down the aisle. The sister and brother share a special bond, including attending Spelman and Morehouse Colleges together, followed by the same law school. He plans to get married next spring.
Jeanne’s cousin Candice Edwards and her good friend Keshia Knight Pulliam served as her maids of honor. Keshia and Jeanne met when they were freshman on the campus of Spelman College and became the best of friends.
Jeanne’s dad, recently spotlighted on CNN’s Black in America II, walks her down the tropical aisle. Though she admits her two sisters are also Daddy’s girls, she holds a special spot as his first daughter.

A Lovely Day
The Johnson’s spent a few more days in the Bahamas with their wedding guests before heading to Jamaica for ten days, which was one of their wedding gifts. Jay has come on board to work for the business of his new family.
Jeanne Delores Roberts, daughter of Black billionaire Michael V. Roberts, Sr., wed her special guy, Jay Christian Johnson, on August 30, 2008, in Nassau, Bahamas.
