Nkechi and Mitch admire each other on their very special day.
Closer Than Most
In the beginning, the happy couple recall spending all night long on the phone fighting sleep as they continued to want to get to know every single they about each other.
“We joke around and say that we are mutually obsessed with each other,” the bride tells us about their bond. “We just love spending time together.”
The Dream Dress
“The dress was the easiest part of the planning process, “ says Nkechi, who wore a stunning trumpet style Monique Lhuillier gown.
“I’d actually never seen anything like it and I feel in love with it,” Nkechi recalls, when speaking about the first time she saw her dress. “I was the first to purchase it at Saks.”

'I Do' Love You
“My name means ‘the one that God gave me, is the one I will have’,” Nkechi explains. “Mitch has that engraved in his rose gold wedding band.” (Aww! We love these two.)
1, 2, 3, Jump!
The bride and groom participated in the African American wedding tradition of jumping the broom, which represents sweeping away the old and bring in a new life together.
After making it official before their friends and family the lovebirds beam as they head back down the aisle.
Location, Location, Location
Nkechi and Mitch chose to host their wedding cocktail reception at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia. “The renovated Victorian mansion is glamorous, charming, and comfortable,” says the bride.
For The Love of Food
Guests received old fashioned mason jars (the groom’s favorite) filled with dry cookie ingredient mix and custom navy blue aprons as tribute to the couple’s shared love for all things culinary. “It had an illustration of us!”
