Twitter Is Trying To Inspire Another Black Collaboration Film

The next proposed film features Halle Berry and Zendaya

After Twitter successfully turned a photo of Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o into a movie directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Issa Rae, the social media platform is at it again.

Halle Berry and Zendaya posed for a flick at the 16th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in L.A. over the weekend, and Twitter user @JaylenaW is convinced that these two Hollywood stars should appear in a Freaky Friday remake.

“I would pay good money to see a remake of Freaky Friday with Zendaya and Halle Berry as her mother," she wrote.

The post garnered 40,000 retweets, and has over 120,000 likes. It’s safe to say that the Internet agrees with Jaylena.

Although many are one hundred percent behind this movie actually happening, there were a few naysayers.


Paging Ava DuVernay and other Black directors and producers, let’s make this happen! If this movie actually becomes a Hollywood reality, we also hope that Jaylena gets proper credit and a check.
