Here's Who We Can Expect At The 48th Annual NAACP Image Awards

The 48th Annual NAACP Image Awards are right around the corner.

Hosting the live two-hour special will be Black-ish star, Anthony Anderson. We can also look forward to the hottest actors in the game presenting, including Hidden Figures castmates Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe; in addition to Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Issa Rae (Insecure), Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Mykelti Williamson (Fences).

NBA champion and Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James will receive the NAACP "Jackie Robinson Sports Award" and Harvard Law professor Charles J. Ogletree, Jr. will be honored with the NAACP “Chairman’s Award.”

And for those of you watching for the fashion, Nichelle Turner will be co-hosting the red carpet pre-show at 7:30 p.m. ET. As one of the more diverse award programs, viewers look forward to the great performances and messages of encouragement and recognition for those who may otherwise be overlooked.

Nominees for varied categories include Stephen James for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture in Race, Nate Parker's Birth of a Nation for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture, Dwayne Johnson for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series in Ballers, and even The Real for Outstanding Talk Series.
