"It’s been a long time, but we had a lot of complications, but look who we got — we got a baby girl!"
Serena Williams became a mom for the first time on September 1, and now the tennis champ is ready to share her little one with the world.
The 35-year-old shared details about her pregnancy journey with fiancé Alexis Ohanian on her Instagram story early Wednesday morning.
The couple named their baby girl Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and Serena revealed that her daughter's birth came with "a lot of complications," but it was amazing to finally hold her baby.
In addition to a first sighting of baby Alexis, the world's #1 womens tennis star shared a compilation of memorable moments from her pregnancy which included her ultrasound photo, an array of baby bump photos, precious videos with her pets and of her and the Reddit co-founder assembling their daughter's nursery.
In the two minute and 15 second video shared on sical media, Williams shares other photos of her growing baby bump. Earlier this year, Serena accidentally revealed that she was pregnant via Snapchat by showing off her 20 week bikini-clad baby bump.
Congrats to Serena and Alexis, and welcome to the world baby Alexis.
