R&B's soulful pianist is back.

It's been nearly four years since R&B darling Alicia Keys released her last album, but new music from the songstress is closer than you might think.

A. Keys was all smiles as she hit the stage for the BET Upfront event, held at NYC's Lincoln Center on Wednesday, April 20. She belted out her infamous rendition of Prince's "How Come You Don't Call Me?" before surprising the crowd with a performance of her new single, "Hallelujah."

Alicia was also elated to share with fans via her personal SnapChat account that she'd be premiering new music in her hometown during her upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance on May 7.  The performance will serve as a precursor to her BET Awards performance this June, which was confirmed by the network earlier this week.

Sounds like the A. Keys comeback is in full effect!
