1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will soon be First Lady, Michelle Obama’s former address. In a candid interview with NBC TODAY’s Al Roker, FLOTUS opened up about life as First Lady and her aspirations post-White House.
When asked to describe the last seven years at the White House in five words, she responded, “Fun, challenging, creative, dynamic and at times, delicious... By far, the fun that I have in this job far outweighs any challenges that you could imagine,” says Obama.
FLOTUS has continued to support and inspire young people during her time as First Lady. With initiatives like “Let’s Move!” “Joining Forces,” “Reach Higher,” “Let Girls Learn,” and now a national garden tour, she shared what kind of legacy she hopes to leave behind.
“I’ll probably have better perspective on it when I get a chance to breathe and step back and think,” she says, “but if I have to answer the question right now, I just want people to say ‘Michelle Obama was a hard working First Lady who impacted people’s lives for the better and made us proud.’”
And as for where she’ll be Saturday, January 21, 2017, the day after inauguration, “hopefully somewhere warm,” she says, “somewhere really, really warm.”
