Knife Reportedly Found At O.J. Simpson's Former Estate Is Being Tested for DNA

A source says that the knife is being tested for DNA and fingerprints.

A knife was reportedly found on the former property of O.J. Simpson.

TMZ reports that the knife was said to have been discovered years ago by a construction worker who handed it over to an off-duty LAPD officer. Instead of turning it in, the officer kept it at his residence for several years. When the officer retired he contacted a friend in the department's Robbery Homicide Division to get the departmental record number for the O.J. case because he wanted to obtain the number to have it engraved on a frame he planned to have the knife placed in. What????!

The officer's friend had enough sense to alert his boss and have the knife handed over to police. A source tells TMZ that the knife is being tested for DNA and fingerprints and that cops who saw the knife "think it could have blood residue on it."

The case is still open since O.J. Simpson was found not guilty for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. And even if the knife points to O.J. he cannot be tried again because of double jeopardy laws.
