'Straight Outta Compton' Star Corey Hawkins Snags Role in '24' Reboot

Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins is headed to primetime TV.

Variety reports that the Juilliard trained actor is set to star in the Fox pilot 24: Legacy. Hawkins is set to appear as Eric Carter, a military hero and Army ranger who returns home from combat to civilian life in Virginia with his wife Nicole only to be haunted by his troubled past.

Carter will turn to the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) for help in saving not only his life but stop one the largest-scale terror attacks America has ever seen.

An air date for the pilot has not been announced.
