Ciara sang the national anthem before the kick-off of Monday night's college football championship game between Alabama and Clemson.
For many, the problem wasn't Cici's rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner," it was her dress.
Bonnie Bernstein, a former ESPN sideline reporter, thought Ciara's choice of clothing was a little too revealing to wear during a nationally televised game.
Dear Ciara. You're stunning. But this is a National Championship Game. Kids are watching. Cover up.— Bonnie Bernstein (@BonnieBernstein) January 12, 2016
FOX Sports personality Jason Whitlock echoed Bernstein's sentiments, tweeting in agreement.
Appropriate, fair tweet. The dress was inappropriate. Her voice was more than enough. Why distract w/nudity? https://t.co/Fv93ioO7TM— Jason Whitlock (@WhitlockJason) January 12, 2016
I'm 100 percent serious. I'm not a prude. Love nudity. Not at national champ game. Inappropriate. https://t.co/LoTzEqBQQJ— Jason Whitlock (@WhitlockJason) January 12, 2016
But not all shared Bernstein and Whitlock's opinion.
That woman tweeted that Ciara should cover up. This looks like a dress with another dress on top of it. Cover what? pic.twitter.com/hzgM85rd7T— FOST (@GeorgeFoster72) January 12, 2016
And the most important person to side with Ciara's dress? Her boyfriend and Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson.
What do you think of the reaction to Ciara's dress?
