Is his fashion statement too much for the pulpit?
Bishop T.D. Jakes posted a picture to his Instagram this week in which he was wearing a blazer, button down shirt and jeans that had a rip at the knee.
As first seen on The Root, the Pastor was then chastised by commenters who said he was "too old to wear jeans with rips and tears" and that as the leader of the church he should "be setting an example for [his] flock."
Jakes, 58, didn't take to kindly to the commentary and issued a polite clapback to parishoners who had a problem.
"Scripture please?," he wrote. "I certainly comply with the word. I just missed the ones about jeans in the pulpit."
What are your thoughts on Bishop Jakes' attire? Does he have a point?
