Plus, LisaRaye McCoy gets baptized, Sherri Saum shares first shots of her twins and Kanye West speaks his mind (again).
Here's what we're chatting about over coffee and donuts:
Mariah Carey and longtime manager Jermaine Dupri, part ways. The pair has worked together since 2005, when Carey's Emancipation of Mimi was released. Carey is now working with Kevin Liles on multiple promotions. Although Carey, Liles or Def Jam (Carey's label) has yet to release a statement about the change, Dupri did comment on the situation. "I'm a very hands-on person when it comes to my work," said Dupri. "But when I'm not allowed to do what I do, then I know it's time for me to move on." Dupri didn't express any negative feelings toward Carey, and admitted that they "enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future." [Billboard]
LisaRaye McCoy was baptized at her home last week. The Single Ladies star shared her emotional moment on Instagram. The ceremony was officiated by pastor Touré Rouberts of One Curch International. [Sister2Sister]
Actress Sherri Saum gave birth to her twin boys, John Ruben and Michael Luis, back in May, but she's just released the first pictures of her new family. Both Saum and her husband, Kamar de los Reyes couldn't be happier. "I love how they look at me," said Saum. "I feel like they trust me, and in turn I feel like these little dudes are going to always have my back." [People]
Kanye West's feelings toward paparazzi are well-known. And he made sure his opinions were publicized again, while in court for a 2013 altercation with a cameraman. The leaked transcript quotes West calling himself the "smartest celebrity you've ever f***ing dealt with." The rant continued on, ending with him calling the accuser's lawyer 'scum.' Calm down, Ye.
