'Sleepy Hollow,' Starring Nicole Beharie, Gets Renewed for Second Season

The Fox series has been renewed just three episodes in.

Nicole Beharie, one of fall TV's exciting new leading ladies, will be back for another season of Sleepy Hollow.

Deadline reports that the fantasy drama has already been renewed for a second season three episodes into its first season. To date, the modern take on the legendary Washington Irving ghost story has drawn an audience of 22 million.

Beharie recently told us the role of lead Abbie Mills was one she never imagined she would get. "I’m 5’1’’ and an African American woman. I just didn’t think anyone would hire me to play the co," she said.  But Mills is a character she loves because "she grounds us."

We'll certainly be tuning in to see where Sleepy Hollow takes us.
