Must-Listen: Beyonce Re-Releases Song for 9/11 Victims

Comments

A few days after the death of Osama Bin Laden, Beyonce says she will pay tribute to the victims of 9/11 by re-releasing her version of "God Bless the USA" for charity. The song will air on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" and will be available on iTunes on Friday.

Proceeds from the song will benefit the New York Police and Fire Widows and Children Benefit Fund. In 2009, her husband Jay-Z donated all proceeds from his "Answer the Call" concert at Madison Square Garden to the fund.

In a statement, Beyonce said, "We were all affected by the tragedies of 911 and continue to keep the families who lost loved ones close to our hearts."

What a thoughtful gesture from Beyonce.
