  • Iowa has elected their first Black female judge. Romada Belcher-Ford was a practicing attorney before being elected. Congratulations! [NewsOne]
  • Shirley Sherrod, Georgia's former state director of the USDA's rural development program, will meet with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack about her job on Tuesday. She was forced to resign from her former post in July after a misleading clip of her speech to the NAACP caused criticism. [Washington Post]
