A leader in one of our churches is under scrutiny once again. Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, the historic institution that gained international prominence in the 1960's is now unfortunately reeling from the weekend arrest of its music minister on charges of sexual abuse, according to the Associated Baptist Press. Sixteenth Street Baptist, the scene of a racially motivated bombing that killed four African-American girls in 1963 is now in the news for the arrest of Music Minister Patrick Jerome Whitehead who was charged him with sexual abuse by force and sodomy on a student at a local high school where Whitehead also works as band director. -BB
