Benedict College, a historically Black college in South Carolina, is being sued by three white faculty members for reverse discrimination practices, according to the Associated Press. The grievance has been taken to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for passing them over for jobs because of their race. Each of the three former instructors will receive $55,000 under a settlement reached by Benedict and the EEOC. An attorney for the school denied any allegation of discrimination citing that the instructors were looked over either because they were not qualified for the position or because of budgetary reasons. –WLW
