Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams announced yesterday that he’s interested in entering the political fray as a U.S. Senator. Williams hopes to succeed current Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison when she resigns or retires, whichever comes first, according to the Dallas Morning News. Williams sent a letter to potential voters reminding them that he has served at every level of government: in three Cabinet departments under two presidential administrations, as an elected member of the Texas Railroad Commission and as a local prosecutor in the Midland County District Attorneys office.
