The legal drama over the estate of late soul legend James Brown might be finally drawing to a close.
Judge Jack Early received the summary of a proposed settlement agreement concerning the Godfather of Soul’s estate, according to the Associate Press.
The statement included a stipulation that verified Tomi Rae Hynie as Brown’s fourth wife after the legality of Hynie’s marriage to Brown had been questioned. The statement also qualifies that all of the children and grandchildren mentioned are lawful heirs and don’t have to prove it through DNA testing.
The judge ordered all members to have a final conclusion ready by October 23.
