Calling all 70s and 80s babies! The stars of The Facts of Life reunited for a Christmas film that you’ll want to watch in front of the fireplace.
It’s all thanks to Kim Fields, who executive produced the Lifetime film that premiered earlier this month titled You Light Up My Christmas.
“That genre is so magical,” she tells ESSENCE of why she produced the film.
Fields’ Facts of Life co-stars, Mindy Cohn, Lisa Whelchel and Nancy McKeon, “make special appearances,” she says, and portray the owners of an ice skating rink named Charlotte. It’s a nod to the late actress Charlotte Rae, who played Edna Garrett, on the NBC sitcom.
The former star of Real Housewives said she asked Lifetime “what if we have my Facts of Life sisters there and they’re these really cool characters…?
“It was a lot of fun creating these moments with and for them,” Fields adds. “We had so much fun with it.”
