[MUSIC] The first two years that I auditioned for American Idol, I was just, I was 19 the first time, and I didn't really know what I wanted to do, but I knew that I could sing. And, so I didn't really know who I was and, but as time went on, and I auditioned for the third time, I came back with an attitude like, this is me, like take it or leave it, if you don't like it, then, then that's you but I'm just gonna be who I am. And I think that's what worked for me the third time because the first two times I was so hung up on what I thought the judges wanted and what America wanted and the other contestants wanted. So, it didn't really work out but the moment I decided I didn't really care about all that is when, when it started to work out. So, confidence definitely is a big part of it. And perseverance like I'm like the living proof of that like if you keep going then it will happen. The last year of my life has been completely hectic. I got a chance to record an album, and I actually got a chance to write on it and, and, I'm working with some really great people, and I've done interviews and, like, promotion and everything. It's just been a whole lot of fun time. My new album is a love album. That's my favorite thing to sing about and, and to talk about, so a lot of the songs in there are about it and I don't have any collaborations on the original songs, but I have like, in mind some people that I would love to be like on a remix or something. So I'm excited about that. But this, the music is definitely soulful. Like it has like a RnB feel to it, but it's, definitely like more soulful and, and from the heart. So. Well, actually my favorite singer, Desmond Sullivan, wrote my new single Cried. She's amazing. I love her, and when I first heard the song like, I was already excited that I got the chance to hear her on the demo and cuz I learned from her already. So to do it like, for my single, was, was great, but the song is really emotional, and I have been through that before like, where your relationship is has just like turned sour and he really doesn't wanna be with you anymore. He doesn't wanna do the right thing and it can be like from different aspects. Whether it's like domestic violence or what have you but I was really excited about it and I got a chance to record it. So I just hope everybody else loves it as much as I do. [MUSIC]
