[MUSIC] What's up Essence.com? I'm Dana Johnson, and this is Seven Things We're Talking About. Number one this week, and it threw many of us for a loop. The departure of Sherri Shepherd from The View, after holding down the seat for seven years on the hit show. According to published reports, Shepherd had been the mist of an ongoing and rather lengthy contract renewal process with ABC, and the two parties could not comes to a mutually beneficial agreement. Hence, Shepherd will be forced to move on. Also the on the outs. Jenny McCarthy, not really surprised about that one. But, who do you think will replace these two at the popular desk? Let us know on Twitter @Essencemag. Now, many of you Essence.com may remember this particular topic from previous episodes. But Disney star Zendaya has dropped out of the Aaliyah bio pic, stating that production wasn't quite a 100%. She did mention that whenever Lifetime is ready to go back at it, she's there for the part. I'm sure the lack of support from Aaliyah's family, rights to the music, and the social media bullying, did not help the subject matter either. This looks a little peculiar, but we'll keep our eye on this one. Moving right along, last week we reported that J and B's on the run tour, had some wondering, not only about ticket sales, but also questioning, what's new about this show? They are always at each other's concerts, performing together, et cetera, et cetera. Well, apparently, the real action is in the footage. As the couple shares private footage from their wedding, vacations, and of course, the cute little baby Blue, throughout the entire show. Is this an attempt to open up to their millions of dedicated fans? Or a PR fix to help us forget about Solange [INAUDIBLE] hm. In the news, the missing 12-year-old boy who was found in his own basement, has been turned over to his biological mother. It has emerged, his step-mother has been arrested on an unrelated weapons charge. Charlie Balfour V, was missing for 11 days, before he was found in their Detroit home, where he lived with his father and stepmother. Police would not reveal what he has told investigators, but said, child abuse has not been ruled out. The boy is not allowed to speak with the couple, as the investigation continues. Charlie's two siblings, a four-year-old and a ten-month-old, have also been taken into protective custody. Now, here's some great news for all of you gladiators, Olivia Pope is used to controlling headlines and saving the day, but now she'll be regulating your hemlines, and getting your closet ready to face any day. In case you haven't heard, Kerry Washington is coming to a store near you. And she partners with Scandal costume designer Lyn Paolo, and national retailer The Limited, to bring to life designs inspired by her hit ABC character, the one and only, Miss Olivia Pope. The limited Scandal collection will debut nationwide, and online, on September 22nd, and will include a 42 piece line, of tops, pants, jackets and outerwear, get ready for this ladies, with prices starting at $49. What say you Essence.com, will you be in line to get yours? Reality star, the one and only, NeNe Leakes can now add Vegas star to her resume, as she appears in Cirque du Soleil's, Zumanity. One of the steamiest shows on the strip, no pun intended, Zumanity, the central side of Cirque du Soleil, is celebrating its tenth anniversary, and Leakes will play the mistress of sensuality, for ten consecutive shows. Cirque du Soleil has never, ever, featured a celebrity in any performance, in its 30 years as a company. This is a huge accomplishment for Leakes. It just goes to show that she is not just a reality show one hit wonder. And last but certainly not least, Essence.com the 4th of July is right around the corner, and you know what that means, time to head to New Orleans, for good food, great music, and inspirational speakers. This year marks 20 years of the Essence festival, and I will be on the scene sharing all of the tea, from front row to backstage. So, be sure to come right here, Essence.com, for all of the goodies. Well, there you have it. That's the seven things we're talking about this week. I'm Dana Johnson, and I'll see you next time.
