New developments emerge in the case against Nicki Minaj's brother.
New evidence against Jelani Maraj, Nicki Minaj’s older brother, in the child rape case he is currently facing, could push him towards a new plea deal.
Earlier this week, court documents indicated Maraj’s DNA was matched with evidence found on the 12-year-old victim’s clothes.
He has also been offered a plea deal that could mean 15 years in prison, Bossip reports.
In April, Maraj was charged with sexual assault against a minor in a New Jersey court. The charge carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Maraj was also indicted on two felony counts of sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
Maraj has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently out on bail.
