Mariah Carey could be looking to hire longtime friend Randy Jackson to manage her career. According the Hollywood Reporter, Jackson is close to signing a management deal with the highest-selling recording artist of all time.
The two have known each other since the ’90s and have worked together on numerous Carey projects. He’s worn the musician, producer and musical director hats for Carey. He most recently produced her 2010 mega Christmas album, “Merry Christmas II You.”
Jackson could be the missing puzzle piece to Carey’s recently lukewarm career. Her past few albums received not-so-hot ratings, and since the birth of her twins Monroe and Moroccan, she’s been gaining steam.
If bringing Jackson on board means Carey will be pumping out more instant classics like “We Belong Together,” “I Still Believe” and “Honey,” then he gets our seal of approval.
