Just in time for the holidays, the Houston family will publish a tribute book to Whitney Houston, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The book, Whitney: Tribute To An Icon, will be released on November 27.
Whitney is the second book this year to be published in her honor. In July, her longtime friend BeBe Winans published The Whitney I Knew. This official remembrance will feature 130 never-before-seen photos from David LaChapelle, Steven Meisel, Patrick DeMarchelier and more. The photos will serve as a “visual timeline of Whitney’s personal style and fashion as well as highlighting her musical milestones,” said Altria Publisher Judith Curr.
In addition, the book will also spotlight personal essays from Clive Davis, Nicholas and Pat Houston. The upcoming book will allow the late singer’s fans to share “amazing memories that reflect very special moments in the life of the extraordinary Whitney Houston, ‘Nippy’ to her family and also to me,” wrote Pat in her essay.
VH1 will also pay tribute to Houston at their 2012 VH1 Divas Live show this December. So far, Houston’s longtime music director Rickey Minor has signed on to executive produce the show. No artists have been announced yet.
