Dionne Warwick and cousin Whitney Houston, who died in 2012, were inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame this week, reports NewJersey.com.

Warwick said Houston would have been “thrilled” at the honor. “I’m glad to know that she’s not forgotten,” said Warwick.

Cissy and Patricia, Whitney’s mother and sister-in-law, accepted the award on her behalf.

The talented ladies were among 13 notable figures that rounded out the 2013 class, which include Alice Guy Blaché, Bobbi Brown, Raymond G. Chambers, Grover Cleveland, Celia Cruz, Joetta Clark Diggs, J. Seward Johnson, Governor Tom Kean, Thomas Paine, Joe Piscopo, David Sarnoff, “Jersey Joe” Walcott and Katheleen DiChiara.

Previous inductees include Queen Latifah and Toni Morrison.
