A group of racist anti-immigration extremists who were planning a massive attack targeting Muslims in Kansas have been captured by the FBI.
According to Huffington Post reports, three white men who are believed to be members of domestic terrorist group “The Crusaders” plotted to kill Muslim residents in the state, focusing specifically on a local apartment complex in Garden City. The Department of Justice says Curtis Allen, Gavin Wright and Patrick Stein were in possession of firearms, explosives and ammunition and had discussed plans to place explosive materials in 4 vehicles before setting them off near the complex. The FBI alleges that the attack was planned for Nov. 9 and said the trio described it as something that would “wake people up.”
The Crusaders hate group is described as having “sovereign citizen, anti-government, anti-Muslim, and anti-immigrant extremist beliefs.” An undercover FBI agent was reportedly able to infiltrate the group and learn the details of their plans, which ultimately led to their capture. According to an FBI affidavit, Stein made several disturbingly discriminatory and dangerous statements while discussing plans to carry out the attack, proclaiming, “the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim.” The men also repeatedly made it clear that even children would be targeted. “When we go on operations, there’s no leaving anyone behind,” Stein allegedly said during a conference call held to discuss the attack. “Even it’s a one-year-old, I’m serious. I guarantee if I go on a mission, those little fuckers are going bye-bye.”

During a separate conference call, Stein is also heard making comments about a “bloodbath” being the only way to turn the country around. “The only fucking way this country’s ever going to get turned around is it will be a bloodbath and it will be a nasty, messy motherfucker,” he says. “Unless a lot more people in this country wake up and smell the fucking coffee and decide they want this country back … we might be too late, if they do wake up … I think we can get it done. But it ain’t going to be nothing nice about it.”
The FBI had reportedly been investigating the men and their plans for attack since February of this year.
