What About Us?: Minority-Owned Banks Suffer More During Hard Times

Black-owned banks are under even greater pressure to serve our communities, according to a report by National Public Radio. “Only about 1 percent of minority owned financial institutions and one African-American-owned bank received capital from the federal government in the bailout,” says Bill Cunningham, CEO of Creative Investment Research in a recent NPR interview.
