The US Olympic basketball team announced its Summer 2012 roster Saturday night. Among veteran players like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, the Thunder’s James Harden, Clippers’ Blake Griffin and the 76ers’ Andre Iguodala will join Team USA for their first Olympic game this year.

“We feel like we’re definitely a great team. We have all the pieces that we need,” Carmelo Anthony said. “We’ve got to put it together, but we feel like we’re the best team out there.”

Harden, Griffin and Iguodala where able to secure spots on the team after injuries held back at least four players, reports Sports Illustrated, including Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

“Great characters, workaholics, just humble guys, humble guys and blessed to be in this position,” Harden said of himself and his team. Other players on the 12-man team include Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Deron Williams, according to Fox News.

Team USA, who took home the gold medal in 2008, will play their first game against France on July 29.
