Unreleased Prince Tracks Rumored to Hit Broadway Musical or Cirque du Soleil

For more than three decades, Prince released 36 and who knows how many songs – and those were only the songs he chose to release. So fans can only imagine the number of unheard and unreleased tracks sitting in the late entertainer’s music vault.

Just two days ago, it was announced that longtime industry executive Charles Koppelman – who signed Prince and released his 1996 triple album, Emancipation – and L. Londell McMillan – Prince’s lawyer and manager – were appointed to oversee the Paisley Park artist’s entertainment estate. And rumor has it, that appointment may just lead to a Prince musical or Cirque du Soleil show featuring various unreleased tracks from The Purple One.

Koppelman opened up to Page Six, saying, “We’re going to be having a good time. There is so much to be done with this estate. There are vaults full of music.” Koppelman continued, reveling in Prince’s impact on the world and entertainment. “Prince was an icon on the level of The Beatles and Michael Jackson, and his legacy should be honored. Though his name was Prince, I always thought he was the king of music.”

Koppelman and McMillan were chosen to oversee the future of the Love Symbol’s archived musical assets by Bremer Trust, “the court-appointed special administrator of Prince’s estate,” says Billboard. With both men holding dear and longtime relationships with Prince, the decision only seemed right.

So what’s next? Who knows, but we’ll welcome anything that involves never-before-heard music from the late, great one!
