"Hi, I'm Eve!"
Shine bright, shine far, be a star!
Tyra Banks will reprise her role as Eve, the animated Barbie-like doll brought to life with a little help from a magic spell in Life-Size 2, Variety reports.
The former supermodel and FabLife talk show host starred in the original 2000 made-for-TV movie and will come onboard to the sequel as an executive producer.
Banks said in an interview that her the new project has a lot of promise.
“I am really excited about it,” she said. “We’re looking at it as a holiday movie so hopefully [it will be released] holiday 2016.”
The original movie became somewhat of a cult classic in 2000 among tweens, and Banks hopes that the new installment will have the same effect on a new generation of viewers.
“I think Life-Size is so popular that it can be a feature film…I think it’s going to be a blockbuster on TV.”
The movie tells the story of a widower and his daugther, who was originally portrayed by Lindsay Lohan, who tries to resurrect her mother but mistakenly brings the toy to life instead.
Life-Size 2 is set to premiere as a Disney Channel original movie.
