Movie producer Tyler Perry announced that his mother Willie Maxine Perry passed away yesterday. “My mother is the wisdom of Madea, She was 64. Thank you for all your prayers,” he said on his site.
Yesterday Perry’s Facebook update read, “I just sent out an email that I’d like to share with you,” he said. “Please check it out.” He did not say what his mother died of.
Ms. Perry was a preschool teacher at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center.
