As speculations continue to surround Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition in an Atlanta hospice facility, family friend Tyler Perry is speaking out and asking the public to give the 21-year-old and her family privacy.
In a Facebook post earlier this morning, the filmmaker condemned the media’s frenzy to report on Brown’s deteriorating condition.
“For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy and enjoy reading and reporting it,” he wrote. “It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something so awful.”
He asked the public to give privacy to both Brown and the other families in the hospice facility, and he said that in the event that something happened, the Brown and Houston families would release an official statement.
“May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect?” he said. “It’s heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is not allowed any peace…can we just pray for Krissi and the Houston and Brown families?”
