Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Sometimes Twitter throws up gems of encouragement that remind us to keep grinding and striving towards our goals! This weekend, that gem came in the form of a tweet by Olympic track and field runner Morolake Akinosun.

In 2011, while still in high school, the Illinois-native tweeted that she would have graduated from college and be heading to the Rio Olympics.

Five years later this weekend, she updated the tweet confirming that she would be graduating from University of Texas Austin later this year and would be running at the Olympics in August.

I tweeted that 5 years ago.

It's 2016.
I graduate from Texas in December.
I'm going to the Olympics next week. https://t.co/vusyh5G5Y3

If you speak it into existence, and work hard, anything is possible.

Congrats Morolake, we hope to see you win in Rio!
