T.I. Defends Beyonce's VMA Performance, Tells Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani To 'Worry About Trump's Campaign'

T.I. tells Rudy Giuliani to let Black lives be: ‘Who gives a f—-k about what Rudy Guiliani says about music?’

When it comes to Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter and the elements of Black culture, it’s standard practice not to say anything against the grain, no matter who you are – an everyday person, a celebrity or a major politician like former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. But after Giuliani’s comments about Bey’s VMA’s performance, it ‘s clear he didn’t get the memo.

The avid Trump supporter sat down with FOX network’s Fox & Friends yesterday morning, and called Queen B’s VMA segment an “anti-police” performance, reports CBS News. He continued to bash the megastar, saying, “I ran the largest and best police department in the world, the New York City Police Department.”

But he wasn’t done there. “I saved more black lives than any of those people you saw on stage by reducing crime, and particularly homicide, by 75 percent — of which maybe 4,000 or 5,000 were African-American young people, who are all alive today because of the policies I put in effect that weren’t in effect for 35 years.”

TMZ caught up with rapper T.I. hours after the New York politician’s comments, and asked him for his take on the situation. Like Kanye, Tip seems to be a staunch Beyoncé fan, and didn’t let Giuliani’s statements about Queen Bey slide.

“Who gives a f—k about what Rudy Giuliani says about music? Like, who cares? He’s not an aficionado of music – this isn’t politics. You need to worry about Trump’s campaign.”

When asked what he thought about Giuliani’s comments about saving the lives of Black people, T.I. didn’t hold anything back.

“He also imprisoned so many unnecessarily…so I think you have to count against the Black lives he saved by the Black lives he destroyed by imprisoning people for too long and taking them away from their families and breaking up homes.”
