President Barack Obama is already receiving condemnation for one of the decisions he made during his week in office. Top officials in the Vatican took little time this weekend to address the President’s repeal of the ban on the U.S. funding family planning aid to groups that offer abortion services, according to Time.com. While Pope Benedict himself has yet to issue a statement, Vatican officials are apparently “very disappointed” with the new President’s pro-choice move. There is no indication on how this rift may affect future Vatican/U.S. relations in the future. -WLW
