It was recently revealed that the Republican National Committee has disbursed more than $150,000 to primp and clothe Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her family, reports Politico.com.
In fact, the financial disclosure records show that the accessorizing began in September and includes bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a whopping total of $49,425.75. The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on Palin’s hair and makeup. The cash expenditures quickly raised questions among campaign-finance experts about their legality under the Federal Election Commission’s advisory board. Politico.com also reports that a similar review of records for the Obama camp and the Democratic National Committee turned up no egregious or alarming wardrobe spending.
