Mrs. Michelle Obama has become a true trendsetter. But now some are wondering if her fashion choices are appropriate for a First Lady. Apparently, Mrs. Obama’s decision to go sleeveless so often is stirring up a sticky debate, according to USA Today. The First Lady’s latest emerald green sleeveless number worn to the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Prize to Stevie Wonder was designed by the singer’s wife, Kai Milla. She also appears on the current issue of People magazine in sleeveless frock by another Black designer, Tracy Reese. Some conservative critics are arguing that it is inappropriate for someone in Mrs. Obama’s position to dress this way, even though she rarely shows skin anywhere else.—BB
