Some believe the one good thing that could come out of the Rihanna and Chris debacle was that young girls and boys would learn that abuse had no place in a relationship. This could be a lesson learned early on and then there would be less abuse cases among adults. However, a recent study says the opposite has happened. Conducted by the Boston Public Health Commission, the survey  revealed that almost half of the city’s teens surveyed believe  Rihanna was to blame for the alleged assault in early February.

Of the 200 Boston youths (ages 12 to 19) surveyed, 51 percent said Chris Brown was responsible for the incident, while a whopping 46 percent said Rihanna was responsible and 52 percent said both were to blame.

A total of 52 percent of the teens said the media was treating Brown unfairly; 44 percent said fighting was a normal part of a relationship. And students believed Rihanna was destroying Chris Brown’s career.”
