Today, we’re celebrating the late Teddy Pendergrass’ 61st birthday with good news. His estate is releasing a never-before-heard song, “I Am Who I Am” which kicks-off production of his biopic “I Am Who I Am: The Teddy Pendergrass Story” featuring Tyrese Gibson.
The title track was recorded in 2006 for his biopic and will hit radio stations across America today. Gibson was personally tapped for the role by Pendergrass and is expected to start filming in parts of Philly and Toronto by the end of the year.
