Stevie Wonder won’t be sitting at home on New Year’s… he’s set to earn a huge check — a cool million, in fact — for a single New Year’s Eve concert at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

New Year’s Eve gigs always come with a hefty paycheck, according to the New York Post. In 2010, the Cosmopolitan paid a cool $1M each to Coldplay and Jay-Z for their performances.

In other New Year’s Eve concert news, Rihanna will be putting on a private concert in her home country of Barbados, reports EURweb. She’s set to perform for the UK’s Global Radio head Ashely Talbot at the Sandy Lane Hotel. A source says she’ll be paid $1.25M euros for this exclusively show.
