Motown’s finest, including Smokey Robinson. Stevie Wonder and founder Berry Gordy turned out to pay their last respects to “The Ivory Queen of Soul,” Teena Marie, at a memorial service held in Los Angeles yesterday. Queen Latifah, Tichina Arnold, Shanice Wilson, and Sinbad were also there to show their respect to the legend…
Robinson sang a song he had personally written for Marie. “Smokey Robinson just sang the most beautiful song he wrote 4 Teena Marie,” tweeted actress Tichina Arnold. “Wow. I still can’t believe she’s gone.”
Wonder, Gordy and her daughter Alia Rose also shared their remembrances of Lady Tee. The two-hour memorial was closed to the press.
Rest in peace, Lady Tee!
