Today’s topic: Did I make the wrong choice? Hello Crew, I am an 23-year-old father and husband who is currently deployed in Iraq. A couple months back, during my annual training my wife and I was having a discussion about my son. And she flat-out said, I want to change his name. We named him after me. So I asked her why in the world would she want to do that? She then told me that every day she looks at him, she sees someone else. That is when she told me that she had cheated on me with another guy and my son might not be mine. I was devastated, it seemed like my whole world collapsed around me. She told all this to me weeks before I was sent to Iraq. When I went home after my annual training, we got a DNA test and he turned out not to be mine. This was not the first time this happened. A few years earlier the same thing happened with my little girl but thank God she was mine. I forgave her the first time but then she goes and does it to me again. It hurt so much but I stayed married to her. I forgave her for it but it took a while. But it still crosses my mind from time to time. Will she do it again? Should I have left or is it better i stayed? A confused young man.
